FUNDRAISE FOR US

The majority of what we need to run out services comes from the community. Plus all the funds raised stay in the Mornington Community.

We would love to talk to you about what our clients who come to us need, and how your school, community group or business can help us, help them. Such as staging an event or fundraising activity to support our work.

OUR CURRENT WISH LIST

Sometimes we just need something in particular for our operations.

Currently we are looking for:

  • cafe furniture (up to 50 people) to replace the current tables and chairs in our drop in cafe.

  • lightweight vests for our staff and volunteer to wear at events and on duty off-site (with our logo)

  • basic mobile phones we can give to clients, who no other means of communication, so we can connect them to services (ideally some prepaid data too)

  • Sponsorship opportunities are available for these items too.

We have a range of opportunities for current and upcoming services and initiatives that need ongoing material and financial support.

  • a regular supply of milk (100 lts per week) and $60 value of cheese slices

  • a regular supply of coffee beans, 4kg per week, so we can divert the funds used to buy these to other essential services.

DONate to our shop

Our shop exists to not only provide a place to get some of life’s essentials at bargain prices, and give those donations a second life, it also provides clothes and other items through our voucher system for our clients in need.

Your donations when sold are turned into funds which we then use to support those doing it tough in our community.

Remember, only donate clothes and goods in good condition (would you wear it?) and ALWAYS donate in person to our lovely vollies in the shop.

Our drop in cafe at the Centre offers free meals, coffee, and a safe and welcoming space for connection to anyone. Hundreds of people come each week for delicious meals cooked and served by our wonderful volunteers.

All the produce comes from donations and cooked in commercial grade kitchens.

We are always seeking supplies and other resources to support our operations.

Currently we are seeking:

  • a regular supply of milk and cheese slices

  • a regular supply of coffee beans, so we can divert the funds needed to buy these to other essential services.

DONate to our food bank

A key part of what we do when open is to provide free fresh food including nutritious fruit and vegetables, meat, bread and other items each day the Centre is open.

We also provide canned and packaged goods, pet supplies and toiletries for our clients.

These are all donated and we exhaust our stocks everyday due to demand. We are always looking for quality produce and unopened packages to be distributed to those doing it tough in our community.

Donations can be a one off, or a regular supply, and we can also arrange pickup for larger donations.. To contact our Food Relief Coordinator, please email her or call 03 5975 1644.

 

DONate to our Containter Deposit sCHEME

Do your bit for the environment and support us at the same time by simply drop off your eligible containers during opening hours and either collect the funds for yourself, or better still donate your refund to our lovely vollies at reception. The CDS-VIC unit is inside our Centre for processing your donation.
