Volunteers power all of our programs. They are grass roots people seeking to be of assistance, and to contribute to something bigger. Their value comes not from wealth or position, but from knowing that making a difference and connecting with others holds benefits beyond measure.

Training is provided in all our roles, including specialist training for Community Support Workers and baristas!

FOOD RESCUE PROGRAM

Emergency & Holiday food rescue collect and deliver to MCSC (Coles/Woolworths/Aldi - Mornington/ Hastings/ Sommerville)

-        Mon -Fri

MONDAY NIGHT BREAD COLLECTION 7pm

Mornington Centro Bakers Delight

OP SHOP

-        Mon 10am – 1pm & 1pm – 4pm

-        Thurs 10am – 1pm & 1pm – 4pm

-        Fri 10am – 1pm

-        Sat 10am – 2pm (1 x Sat per month)

Fresh Food Display

-        Thurs 9am - 11.30am

-        Thurs 1.30pm - 4.00pm

reception

Our front line trouble shooters! Reception volunteers are part of a weekly roster working one morning or afternoon a week to welcome people to the centre either in person or on the phone.

community support workers (csw)

Community Support Workers are trained up to provide information, referral and support services to clients in a confidential and impartial manner.

cafe

Our cafe and community lunch program is powered by an amazing team of volunteers with a flair for cooking, hospitality and warm customer service.

fresh food program

Fresh Food Program volunteers might pick up, deliver, organise, pick or pack food for our various fresh food programs on Thursdays and Fridays.

regular bread pickups

Our bread picks ups happen on a Monday evening and volunteers then bag and deliver to various distribution points to reach those in need. Occasional bakery delivery drivers are needed on other evenings also.

BEACH END OP-SHOP

Do you have retail experience or just a friendly and welcoming manner? Our Op-Shop generates funds that keep our essential programs running and requires multiple volunteers for 3 hour shifts each week.
